I came up with a box subscription idea where college students around campus can begin to live a healthier lifestyle despite the college stereotype. Living as a college student, life can get really hectic and we tend to forget to take care of ourselves in the process. This subscription will enable students across the school to make healthier and thus smarter choices. Instead of heating up a cup of Easy Mac, per say, maybe they could eat the apple that was provided in the box instead. Or maybe even make a snack that came from the the wellness newsletter created by yours truly that comes with every box. It's a merely effortless and affordable way to live a lifestyle that everyone can benefit from both physically and mentally. I can't wait to see what is in store for the University Survival Box. Let me know what you think!
Hey Gabby, I really like this idea! I’m obsessive over the food I put into my body so a product like this spikes my interest. I’ve seen some products with the same concept online, where they package “healthy meals” and deliver them to your door, but in my opinion they’re only semi-healthy and pretty overpriced. Also, they don’t have niche to college students like your product does. In regards to your presentation, you also did very good. I liked your use of the USB as a prop. Subscription boxes are all the rage right now, and for great reason: they're neat little presents, picked out for you (in a subject you like: makeup, comic books, board games, even prepare-able food like Plated or Blue Apron), and delivered right to your door.
Great hook about "USBs." You play to a thing that everyone knows and make a little joke that your audience is instantly on the "inside" of. And the rest of your pitch is well-paced and tightly delivered. When it ended, I was left going.... "But... but I want to hear more!" which is *exactly* the reaction you want.
Hey Gabrielle, I really like this idea! You also do an excellent job of delivering the pitch which is key for assignments like these. I haven't heard much about subscription boxes like this one so it was great to listen to what you had to say. I too believe that we should encourage a healthier lifestyle and diet for college students. Hey Gabrielle, I think you have a great functional idea here. I think it may be difficult to find a solid price point, and you would also need to navigate including perishables in the box. It's going to be hard to get things to people while they are fresh and maintain a price point for a college student that may not be overly concerned with health or wellness. I like that you include the newsletter, and I think this could provide some really practical ways for us to get healthier. Way to go!
